Do you ever have moments when things are so messy that instead of freaking out and cleaning, you just take pictures and then post them so that the rest of the world will feel better about their situation?
I need about 300 square feet of cubbies, showers, gear-storage, and shopping bag holders between the garage and the rest of the house.
This next photo might seem harmless:
We are simply displaying every single thing we own just to remind ourselves that we still own it.
Either that or the cleaning lady has been at Starbucks and the mall instead of cleaning her home.
Maybe.

This is a great blog, Nicole. Made me giggle out loud!
I love you even more.
Girl, I am cracking up because I have been there....the mall I mean ;) Love it!
All too familiar.
I am telling myself that next week I'll do better. And yes, I know it is only Monday.
Hilarious. You made me feel better about my own mess.
Those pics do my heart good. I am not alone.
My house looks like this and I LIVE ALONE!!! There are no words. I tell myself it is b/c I work 50 hours a week and then I wonder 'who the heck is messing up my house?' This goes without explanation.
I know you Coley and that mess will not hang around long,,,,,I'm sure you have trash bags - ha!
ahh...your house is not always the pristine example of pottery barn interior design that makes me squirm & hesitate to invite you to my place...
because (much to brian's dismay) it OFTEN looks like yours does momentarily! =)
I'm not sure if you know, but your favorite store Starbucks is having a sale starting today 12/9-12/14. All merchandise (this means tea, coffee, mugs, coffee makers, gift packs, ornaments and other 'bucks ephemera) will be 20 percent off!!
hopefully your car doesnt share the same aroma as mine, its a "hmmm, wonder what spilled" sort of smell. We just turn Justin Timberlake up really loud to drown out the smell :)
Did you come to my house and take those pics????
