Houston, We Have a Problem

I am not sure words could add anything to these pictures.

I mean, it's not like I need to mention that the tree stand isn't intended to levitate three feet in the air.
No, we don't have pets and the kids didn't wrestle it over.

We heard such a clatter in the middle of the night and our 30 year-old just plain gave out.

Brace yourself, this is about the most pathetic sight I've seen this Christmas:

I don't know what's worse...the snowman painfully perched on his side or the gigantic hole in the left side of the tree.

Or the upside-down plastic bin we were using as a tree stand.

Or the window mistreatment we were using as a tree skirt.

Or the microscopic crushed glass I will be digging out of my carpet for the rest of my life.

Or that our Christmas tree has capsized TWICE IN A WEEK and I have nothing left in me to replace it.

I am just glad to have my laptop back.

I think.

Oh dear.

Somehow though, those pictures seem entirely appropriate on your blog! (And I mean that in the nicest possible way!) :)

I'm sure the upside down rubbermaid tote had nothing to do with it.

We had that happen to us with our first Christmas tree ever. My husband ended up putting a circle hook thing in the ceiling and then tying string around the pointy top of the tree and then hanging it from the ceiling. It was just about the tackiest thing we've ever done. And the jokes about the hanging Christmas tree live on.

Uh oh. I was waiting for a crazy story about wild boys running through the living room and knocking over the tree. At least there were no injuries!

Oh no! Is your tree trying to take up running?

I hope it stays put now until Christmas!

I would cry...

That is not good. I am so sorry for the mess. I do think you might be picking up shards of glass for the next year.

Was it the rubbermaid tote's fault?

Oh. My.

I'm so sorry! While I know it wasn't funny at the time ... it sure makes a cute post!
